Will it power a normal home sump pump?

Answer
Surprisingly, sump pumps vary quite a bit in their power requirements. Generally speaking, this generator should be enough for most 1/3HP but to know for sure, it is best to check the amp draw of your specific pump.

What voltage does this inverter generate and what voltages does it invert it to?

Answer
The inverter generators basically convert the voltage to DC and then back to A/C voltage. This allows the PC Board inside the unit to clean up the power making it safe for use with sensitive electronics. The output of this generator is still 120 volts.

The EU2200i has a .95 gallon fuel tank and Honda advertises that you will receive up to 7.5 hours when operating at a lesser load allowing you to take advantage of the Eco Throttle. Eco Throttle will allow the engine's RPM to adjust to receive optimum fuel efficiency at a lesser load.

Answer
The Honda EU2200i units MUST be run outside due to the unit producing Carbon Monoxide. The only indoor units we offer are the solar units from Kohler (EnCube) or Goal Zero.

Regarding the on / off turn switch, if you turn it to the turn fuel off position instead of all the way to off, will it run till the carb is out of fuel for transporting? Or do you have to turn it all the way to off to shut the fuel off at the same time then have to drain the carb for transporting?

Answer
The EU2200i is set up so you can turn that fuel switch off and run the generator so it will burn the fuel remaining in the carb. This is designed to prevent the fuel spilling out when moving it around or old fuel sitting in the carb and gumming it up preventing issues down the road. You would want to turn the fuel switch off when the unit is running to have the fuel burned out of the carb. The generator would turn off when all of the fuel is burned out and doing so would not damage the unit.

The instructions for the parallel cable kit refer to upper and lower positions, however my generators have side by side positions. Where do the red and green cables attach?

1. Connect the black left cable ("L" marked on the connector) to the left-hand parallel outlet on each generator.
2. Connect the red right cable ("R" marked on the connector) to the right-hand parallel outlet on each generator.
3. Attach the ground terminal (green cable) to each generator and tighten the ground screws securely.
