Don't mess with Texas! Although Hurricane Florence may be strong and unpredictable, Texans are stronger and ready.
If you're in need of a portable generator or would like to purchase a home standby generator follow these easy steps to ensure a speedy delivery.
1. Order an In-Stock Generator
In order to get the generator you need in a timely manner, you will need to select a generator that is currently in stock.
Lighter inverter generators will ship ground and are available for Next-Day and 2-Day shipping. Larger portables and standby generators (over 100lbs.) may be eligible for Rush-Order Processing and will be shipped via freight carrier.
2. Rush Order Processing Freight
Shipping generators with Rush Order Processing may be available and only if products are in-stock. However, the EARLIEST it can arrive at the LOCAL TERMINAL in your area is 3 to 5 BUSINESS DAYS! We strongly recommend placing your order before 3 pm Central (4 pm Eastern) to ensure your order is shipped the same day.
3. Next Day and 2nd Day Air Eligible
There are select inverter type generators available with faster shipping options, such as next-day and 2nd day air service via FedEx.
Please Note: Expedited shipping charges are non-refundable and delivery times are not guaranteed. We will get the products out the door and into the hands of FedEx. They will make every effort to deliver on time, but circumstances may cause a delay like: government-issued evacuations, flight groundings, and road closures.
4. Home Delivery Delays
Home deliveries may be delayed depending on where you live. The unprecedented flooding from Hurricane Harvey in Texas and Louisiana has delayed home deliveries and with Hurricane Irma on course for Florida, home deliveries may be affected after it makes landfall.
We strongly encourage you NOT to cancel or refuse your order. Doing so will incur the full amount of shipping charges that may have been free and can cost hundreds of dollars.
If you do happen to have power, you are indeed very lucky. However, power outages can be unpredictable and we encourage everyone to have at least an emergency backup to protect themselves from an extended power outage. By placing your order NOW, your generator will eventually be delivered to your doorstep – even if it’s a few days delayed or before stocks run out.
5. Pick Up at a Local Freight Terminal
If you're without power or preparing for a storm, we STRONGLY RECOMMEND contacting your freight carrier to pick up your order at their local freight terminal to shave several days off of delivery times. You'll just need to bring a photo ID that matches the name on the order to receive your generator, your order will not be released if it doesn’t match.
We do not stock any generators in these shipping terminals. All our generators will ship from one of our warehouses located around the country, before they arrive at the local freight terminal.
Once your order ships, we will email you a tracking number and the name of the freight carrier for your order. Clicking on that link will take you to the freight carrier's website, where you can find more information regarding your shipment. Once you know which terminal your order is heading to, the best bet is to contact them directly at the phone number below.
