Hello I have a 20 foot generator cord. Reliance Controls PC3020 20Feet 30 Amp L1430 Generator Power Cord for Up to 7,500Watt Generators. it is too short. Can I buy a second 20 foot cord to extend the original to 40ft? is this safe?

I have a Generac GP 5500 portable, and I want to connect it to my power inlet box to supply power to my house in case of an emergency. The issue I have is my power inlet box is a 50 amp instead of 30, so the female end of the cord needs to be a 50amp 3 prong instead of the 30 amp 4 prong. The question is if I purchased this cord, could I buy a 50 amp adapter with a female end to replace the one on this cord?
