Q: Will this work for a residence? I am only looking to put the transfer switch inline between the meter and the main panel. Would like the ability to switch to a generator feed during power outages (turning off most breakers and only using essentials. I have a 7500 watt generator with 2 30amp plugs

A: This specific transfer switch is not designed or large enough to be mounted between the meter and your existing main breaker. You would need to look at the manual transfer panels we offer which is based on the amperage size of your incoming feed from the utility company. (100A or 200A)

 Great Product

Ordering was easy. The site said this box was back ordered but it shipped to me in about a week. Very happy to have it. I used it to power up a well. There was only one thing I would suggest you check. I pulled the plug out of the box and checked the wires. One wire was loose and fell off the plug. I tightened the wire back on and double checked all connections. It works fine and I have no regrets.
