I just purchased a new Generac 5500W gas generator. Will this switch and your 40 ft cord work with it?

This switch will be compatible with your GP5500 which has a 30A, 120/240 volt connection. . As a matter of fact, as long as the equipment you are using is rated for 30A and 120/240 volts, (4 prong connection) your system will be compatible.
