| Electric Generators Direct Recommendation |
| By Electric Generators Direct |
Sta-Bil is designed to keep your fuel fresh. The stuff doesn't get old.
Your going to be using your power equipment for years - if not decades. Get a bunch of this stuff once.
You'll save some money for buying in bulk. Plus, it's one less reorder to worry about in your lifetime. |

| How to Keep Your Gasoline Fresh |
| By Jon Hoch, Founder (Bolingbrook, IL) |
Gasoline will gradually turn to varnish and gum up your carburetor if it sits too long. So, rotate your fuel supply at least once per year.
We strongly recommend mixing Sta-Bil fuel stabilizer with your gas.
A 10-ounce bottle will keep 25 gallons of gasoline fresh for a whole year. If you double the dosage, it can stay fresh for up to two years. |

| Read Your Owner's Manual Before An Emergency |
| By (Fox Lake, IL) |
The local shop that services generators says that people experiencing starting issues often are not using fuel stabilizer or not changing their oil. The shop will pull the oil out and find that it has metallic build up common from any small gas engine that has been neglected.
I have no issues with this generator, it is a good quality product and a good value; but I strongly recommend that you follow the oil change intervals rather than just continuing to add oil. My only criticism is that I would rather have a 7 gallon tank.
I also recomend that anyone new to purchasing a generator should read the website articles on how to safely operate their units (like don't fill tank up to the neck since gas could expand and run down on any generator and cause a fire!) READ THE MANUAL AND FOLLOW DIRECTIONS.
Some brands will ask you to change the oil after only 24 hours of operation; some brands will run for 4 days before an oil change is needed. It is an easy oversight in an emergency situation. |

Let's be honest. Operators manuals are so boring.
It's a lot easier to watch this video from Honeywell instead! |
