Q: Can you manually switch the 4559 transfer panel? Thanks.

A: Model 4559 is an automatic system only and cannot be manually operated. If you are in need of a manual system you should check out the Reliance Controls 200A transfer panels.....see link for details:

Reliance Controls TTV2005C

Please be aware that manual transfer switches are for portable generators only and automatic transfer switches are for permanent home standby systems only.

If you’re building a home or updating your current electrical system, there’s no need to buy a main load center and automatic transfer switch separately.

What’s great about the GenReady Advanced Load Center is that it’s a hybrid (no, not the kind you see driving down the street). It combines a typical load center (circuit breaker box) and an automatic transfer switch into a single box.

In addition to buying less equipment, its less effort for your electrician to install, saving you additional money. You’ll be able to protect up to 18 circuits or 30 if you’re using tandem breakers.

The GenReady Advanced Load Center is ready even if you’re not. Install it during construction and purchase your generator later if you budget is tight.
