Q: My 100hp tractor has both 540 and 1000rpm at the PTO which 25kw would be best /last longer/run better 540 or the 1000rpm

A: Greg,
If you have the flexibility in which output shaft speed you can use, the generator will be smoother and quieter + last longer with the 1000rpm gearcase. Either way, the gear case steps up the speed of input to turn the generator at 3600rpm. The ratio to step up to 1000 is lower than to step up from 540rpm.

 Winco 25kw PTO Generator - Excellent!

I ran my Winco 25kw PTO generator 9 days straight, 16 hours a day, using my 22hp John Deere 425 AWS mower that has a 540 PTO output. Everything worked perfectly! Couldn't be more happy.

Volts and hertz on my digital VOM (I'm an electrician) held steady. I ran the furnace, 3 refreigerators & freezers, 1 hp well pump, microwave, 2 burners on the electric stove, electric water heater, TV, and computer. The kids didn't even know we were out of power until we turned it off for overnight. Winco did it right!
