Well designed unit and solidly engineered. I have it connected to a transfer switch with the furnace fan, refrigerator, underhood microwave, and some lights. The only real complaint I have is that the sound levels must have been measured when the engine is idling with no load. Once any real current draw happens, its loud.
(EGD RESPONDS): Sound levels are interpreted differently by different people. The sound pressure measurement on the Subaru is based on loaded conditions & at 23' or 7 meters. For the most part, 58dB(A) is quiet by most peoples standards - again, everyone has different ears and for some, certain frequencies may seem more bothersome that others........
