Q: Jim- I purchased a Generac 5500 from you guys. Great unit. I was going to purcase the Reliance 30114A, but now I see in the specs it's rated for 3700 watts. I only need to power 4 circs. Can I use this unit? I think the 6 circ unit is overkill for my needs. I'm powering - max- a 1/2 HP forced air furnace 120v, a 1/3 HP sump pump and a refrig.

A: The max rating should not be a problem because you will be powering this transfer switch from the one 30Amp outlet on the generator and this outlet will only produce 3600 watts (30Amps X 120V).
