Q: Jim, I bought the XG4000 and I think this is the perfect switch, but I don't have use for the 220. Does the bar come off, making the switch 6 x 110 cicuits?

A: Yes, you can remove the bar and use the individual circuits for 120V for a total of 6 - 120V circuits.

Q: i have an older Reliance Controls transfer switch model 20216, is it the same max wattage as model 20216a?

A: Yes, the switch is rated at 20A and the max wattage you can run through a 20A unit is 5000 Watts.

 Works like a charm

I installed this unit 3 years ago. It was easy to install and wire.

I've had zero problems with the unit! I've found that watt meters are helpful for balancing loads.

I would highly recommend this product.
