BOLINGBROOK, IL (October 19, 2011) - Today Power Equipment Direct (PED) replaced its existing corporate web site with a new consolidated e-commerce store, carrying its complete line of power equipment.

In the past, customers could only purchase power equipment through one of nine niche superstores. For example, snow blower shoppers would place their orders through SnowBlowersDirect.com.

Now, PED customers can shop the company’s complete catalog on one site with one shopping cart and one account.

"The new Power Equipment Direct web store is eight years in the making,” said Jon Hoch, founder and CEO of Power Equipment Direct. “We basically combined our entire operation into a single, consolidated store.”

To celebrate the launch, Power Equipment Direct will be hosting a special Grand Opening Sale exclusively to their Facebook Fans, starting Wednesday, October 26.

The 48-Hour Grand Opening Sale will only be available at PowerEquipmentDirect.com. A special link to the behind-the-scenes sale will be posted at Facebook.com/PowerEquipmentDirect. Simply "Like" the e-Commerce superstore for access to the sale.

The Bolingbrook, IL-based business will continue to operate its nine original niche superstores independently.

Power Equipment Direct operates 11 niche online superstores. In addition to ElectricGeneratorsDirect.com, the Bolingbrook, IL-based company operates AirCompressorsDirect, ChainSawsDirect, LeafBlowersDirect, LogSplittersDirect, MowersDirect, PressureWashersDirect, SnowBlowersDirect, SumpPumpsDirect, TillersDirect and WaterPumpsDirect.
