Q: I've heard that a Kohler dealer must do the "startup" of the generator, otherwise the warranty is void. Dealers in this area seem to charge big $$ for this service. What's the deal?

A: This is correct. A Kohler dealer must do the "start-up" to preserve the manufacturers warranty.

Q: Hi
I am upgrading from a 6.3 KW Propane Kohler to this 20KW - I hope! My feed line is 7/8" OD and I figure about 1/2" ID, will that give me enough fuel supply to this unit?

A: Generator fuel pipe sizing is based on the wattage size of the unit along with the distance from the fuel source. Kohler does list the pipe sizes in the specification sheet for each model. We list the specification sheet within the specs tab to the left of the Q & A tab.
