This generator will be used on a 10 week camping trip from North Carolina to Alaska (approximately 6 weeks in AK and Yukon Territories and North West Territories) starting in mid-April 2012. I have tested the generator and it works fine. It is not as loud as most generators which is very nice. At 29 lbs. it fits the bill for being lightweight and very portable. With gas prices going up so quickly this year every pound I haul will be at a cost so this unit is great.
It will ride on a cargo carrier on the back of my truck camper so being a sealed unit is nice. I will cover it when i am on the dirt roads, but it fits back there like it was made for it.
For safety it has two locks on it, just in case someone else decides they like it as much as I do. A great generator and worth the price. Delivery was right on time. I appreciated that I could view the videos about generators before buying.
