Q: How much space do I need for the QuietSource 36 KW? Distance from walls? If outside can I have a roof above with a 10 foot ceiling. I would like to recess it in an area on the second floor 8 feet x 10 feet x 10 feet high

A: Per the installation drawing found on the product page under the specs tab....

ALLOW SUFFICIENT ROOM ON ALL SIDES OF THE GENERATOR FOR MAINTENANCE AND SERVICING. THIS UNIT MUST BE INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT APPLICABLE NFPA 37 AND NFPA 70 STANDARDS AS WELL AS ANY OTHER FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL CODES FOR MINIMUM DISTANCES FROM OTHER STRUCTURES.

Also, you will need to consult your local inspector for proper distances from non-combustible surfaces and in regards to weight limits for elevated equipment and structure limitations.

This unit weighs 1312 LBS.
