The Generac QuietSource 27 kW generator includes all of the same great features in the smaller 22 kilowatt version.
Plus, it features a more powerful Generac engine capable of producing an extra 5 kilowatts of electricity.
An extra 5 kilowatts might not seem like much. But, think about it. Most portable generators only produce 5 kilowatts.
If you get the 27 kilowatt version, you're basically combining the best (yet, smallest) liquid cooled generator and a portable emergency together into one very slick package.

Review of Generator
I ordered the QT02724ANAX 27 KW Generator from Generator Direct. I found the ordering process to be excellent, with as much expert advice as I could expect. The delivery time was more than reasonable, and their the truck was fitted with a power lift to make it easier to remove the 1000 lb crate.
However, the generator arrived without some important parts that should have been included, and should have been observed with any reasonable quality control system. First, it did not have a cover for the coolant overflow tank. I can't imagine any factory missing this!
When I contacted the factory, they said they would ship me a cover in 7 to 10 business days. I made it very clear that this was unacceptable, and I received a return call indicating it would be overnighted to me that day. I thought this was good customer relations, but should have been offered without my obvious annoyance-level.
Second, the regulator was missing a plug for the LP gas input. I called to see if this was needed, and the factory representative did not know. He said he would check with "engineering" and advise me as to the need for this plug. I never received a return call, so I just put a plug in the regulator for safety reasons.
The generator appears to be absolutely perfect, so I can't complain about the two obvious omissions, unless something else has been omitted, and this shows up in the future.
The remote control is really wonderful, and should be used by every purchaser who can afford the extra cost. It was very easy to install and program, and works perfectly.
The 200 amp transfer switch also works perfectly, and is a excellent match for the generator.
In summary, I am extremely pleased with Generator Direct and their ordering process, very happy with the Generac Generator, but displeased with their quality control procedures. A $10,000 generator should not be shipped without a coolant cap or a plug for the gas system.
