Q: On a 14kw generator should I use the regular oil or the syntheic oil which would recommend. Does the generator keep the battery charged.

A: In the owner's manual on page 23-24 there is an oil chart and based on the temperature in your local area would determine which oil type to use.

The generator has a built in battery charger inside of the controller and when properly connected it will maintain the battery.

 Kit Makes It Easy

This maintenance kit makes it easy to take care of your generator investment. The kit includes everything you need, except the oil, to complete the job.

I use Mobil 1 V-Twin synthetic oil. I have had no problems with my generator in 5 years. It has run a total of approximately 300 hours with the longest continual run time of 90 hours. These kits make it easy to maintain, since it has what you need to get the job done.

We use this generator at our Ponderosa Basin Fire Station and I was so impressed with it I bought one for my home. Our best friends bought one at the same time and since then we sold our Fire Station Captain one as well.

We were without power for 6 days and then another 4 days this year alone. This Generator is AMAZING!!! So much so, that we are going to buy our daughter one for her horse farm in the state of Washington this fall, She is already getting ready for it.

Love this Generator, so easy to use my wife changed the oil and filter this year.
