| Electric Generators Direct Recommendation |
| By Electric Generators Direct |
The Guardian 8 kW Emergency Power System is the smallest home standby generator offered by Generac Power Systems.
It starts automatically -- just the like the bigger versions -- and protects mission critical appliances from power failure.
Here's the major difference. The 8 kilowatt version can restore power to 8 mission-critical circuits, including a sump pump, refrigerator, furnace fans, lights and more.
The 17 kW version can restore power to 16 circuits, including a central air conditioner. The 8 kW version simply lacks the strength to turn over a central air conditioner.
If you can live without air conditioning during a power outage, it's a whole lot better than manually setting up and starting a portable generator.
Plus, it runs automatically even if your home or not. |

| Switching from gasoline to natural gas |
| By Gary Sloan (Mannington, WV) |
We had a gasoline generator that we used when the power failed. It was hard to start; and since we live out in the country the nearest gas station is 8 miles away- the hassle was more than it was worth.
If we used the generator 24 hours a day then we would go thru 10 gallons of gas a day. That meant going outside to shut it down, fill it back up, and restart it every couple hours.
Our electric has been off for a week at a time during the winter, at $30 a day for gasoline it doesn't take long to go thru a lot of money quick.
Now that we have installed the Generac generator the only thing that we have to do is "nothing".
The electric goes off and the generator comes on, it is just that simple. It took 2 of us about 4 hours to install and wire the entire unit, the directions were very easy to follow and understand.
I have recommended the generator to everyone. A few people have already come to my house and wanted to see just how it worked, and then purchased one a couple days later. |

| Works just fine |
| By Jack Williams (Santa Rosa, CA) |
It was delivered on time, and I saved enough on sales tax to pay the electrician for his 3 1/2 hours to hook it up.
I plumbed the gas myself in about an hour, it works just fine. |

I ordered this Briggs and Stratton 30-Amp Extenda Cord, and received it promptly as promised.
The cord was exactly what I needed and the personnel were very helpful in explaining to me which cord I needed.
Thanks to all the people at Electric Generators Direct.com for their excellent service. |

| Completely Satisfied Customer |
| By Roy Philbrick (Westford, MA) |
We purchased & installed a Guardian model 5501 for a customer.
Installation was easy- it took aproximately three hours to wire, and two hours to gas pipe in.
Our customer was completely satisfied. The generator started right up and handled the load- no problem. |
