The quality of this generator is all that you want of a product made in our country, even the colors are nice! I'd rather have it and not need it - than need it and not have it!

(EGD RESPONDS): From another fellow Minnesotan, it may be hard to describe Wisconsin as part of our country (where Generac is corporately located), but they do make a rather fine little generator don't ya know.......

Generac Gp5500 - 5500 Watt Portable Generator Review

I am very pleased. It is everything I expected and more. It took me about an hour to put it all together and it started on the first pull. I bought it for emergencies but I will run it every couple weeks as directed to make sure I have power when and if needed.

Peace Of Mind

I purchased this model after reviewing multiple online options. I like the fact it has multiple features which some models with similar wattage didn't.

Namely, the built-in hour meter, low oil shutoff, circuit breaker protection. I don't plan to use it that often, but the fact it started after the first pull was reassuring.

Easy

Ordering was easy, I received it in 3 days.

Start up and installation was easy. The unit started on the 3rd pull the first time.

I have test-run it a couple times since, and it starts by the second pull.

I am pleased to find a unit made in the USA.

Highly Recommended

I purchased this generator for emergencies..after being without electric for 3 days from ice storm last winter!

It arrived at my house very promptly, and was exactly as advertised- it started on second pull.

So far I've tested it by running everything in my garage on it two different times..

I hope we never have to use it but I'm very,very happy knowing it will do the job if we do lose electric
during ice storms or wind storms.

I would highly recommend this product!
