Bought this as back-up generator for my second home. Installation went fairly well except that specs call for battery with at least 550 CCA. However, I went thru five different batteries and still could not find anything that would fit into the (tiny) compartment. I finally had to modify the cabinet to accept a battery of sufficient size.
How could this have been overlooked on such an otherwise well thought out and built piece of equipment? Not sure I have the correct model but it is 20k generator with included 200 amp transfer switch.
EGD RESPONDS: You can actually buy the exact battery when you purchase your generator online. It is safe to ship them together via freight. However, we don't sell them separately because the shipping costs are outrageous.
