An Easy Fix
An electrician installed my transfer switch in under 4 hours and the ease of use is amazing. It is also nice to know that we could very easily change the chosen circuits if needed.

Was There When Needed
Sorry to see it is now discontinued, I bought mine in 08 for under $350.00 on sale at Tractor Supply. After a bad winter night. It sat on a shelf ready to go for the last 3 years, waiting to go to work. After several days of rain and a hurricane coming up the east coast it was called into duty. It worked great over 5 days of continues running except for refueling. You get a chance to grab one be quick about it. Only thing I am sorry about is that I did not purchase its big brother at the time.

Good Deal For The Money
I just purchased one of these with the wheel kit and cover for $319 Put the wheels and handle on, put in oil (you have to supply) and gas and it fired up on the second pull. It purrs like a kitten compared to many other gensets I have been around. What more could you ask for??

Not Bad For The Money
I purchased this a little while back. I use it for running my 29 foot travel trailer's electric needs. It had a couple little burps when it tried to start the 13.5 BTU unit.
The first time I took it out for a full run, it also, actually tripped it's onboard breakers when I tried to run the microwave at the same time the coffee maker was brewing.
I was initially very impressed with it being quiet, but that went away after about 5 hours run time. It's still somewhat quiet, but there were times when it was running without a load that it got very loud. I wish it was available with "throttle management" so it backed down when there was no load.
I put about 70 hours on it the first long weekend on a remote camping trip. I used about 16 gallons of gas. You have to change the oil at 5 and 50 hours, that was kind of messy. The oil drain is lined up right along the steel roll cage base frame. Filling it was like any motor but it came with a special funnel that made it bearable.
I'm thinking I'll add a piece of pipe to the drain with a plug so that future oil changes are cleaner and easier. I liked the hour/voltage meter.
I would say, for the money it's a "fair" buy. Nothing horrible about it but nothing amazing either. It's better than paying over more for a Honda that is only rated at 10 dBA quieter.

Best Buy Hands Down
I bought a 3500 watt Troy-bilt generator for my semi truck to power my portable ac and it threw the breaker and bogged down almost every time.
Also that was a VERY LOUD generator for a name brand, and it was expensive. Well, took it back to the big box store, and bought a Champion for much less at another chain store.
This is one of the quietest generators you will find and powers everything I have with no problem. I park at the truck stops and can hear some of the $8,000 generators running over mine.
If someone thinks this is loud they should set it side by side with another inexpensive brand, or actually even a Honda- very comparable.
It also starts first pull 99% of the time and on the second pull the other 1%. I'm purchasing the remote controlled Champion with electric start and putting this one on my RV.
This is a awesome product with an awesome price.

Great Generator For The $$$$$
I bought this generator after much review on internet.
It runs my 15K BTU air conditioner on my travel trailer without a problem. Fairly quiet for a non-inverter type generator...about 68db. Much quieter than my BS 5500 watt.
Weighs 100lbs. Honda clone engine. Used it for about 70 hours so far, with no problems.
Well worth the money.

Just As Good As The Ones I Lusted After
We just bought this unit after all the positive reviews. Surprisingly it's pretty quiet- it didn't sound like a Harley.
Pay the 50 bucks more and buy wheels to haul it around.
The only negative thing I can say is that it weighs 107 lbs. Other than that, it's only $399 compared to the $1900 I was going to spend on a similar one with a "designer" name

You Get What You Pay For!
This generator runs the AC fine in my camper but it's loud and sounds like an old Harley Sportster.
Every morning when I shut it down to check the oil and refuel it, it would be low on oil and there is oil all over the back porch of my truck camper where I have it mounted.
The rings ain't seating and it's got blow by. I'm not very happy with it.
The Champion 3500 watt C46540 is a fine Honda clone, for 1/3 the price!
Honda parts easily fit it! There are more of this manufacturers generator powering electrical needs for homes, businesses, hospitals, etc in the world than any other brand.
Champion puts it's name on it and a better warranty (one year) and sells thoudands of them. Parts are easily available, and a little maintenance like oil changes and air filter changes are all thats needed.
We use it for dry camping in our RV in the remote areas of California's deserts. It's quiet, runs clean, easy to start and powers a lot of electrical at once.

We bought our Champion 3500 Watt at Tractor Supply in Kirksville MO. I have used it two days and it is the best investment I have ever made(outside our camper) for the money and convienance of dry camping. It is quiet easy to start and very economical. It used 1/2 tank in two days of running nights only. thank you for you product and I am gong to buya wheel kit for it.
