Briggs & Stratton 30335 Portable Generator - Professional 30335

Q: I am looking at the 4000 Watt gas generator from Briggs and Stratton - Model # 30335. Couple of questions.

#1. What is the total Watt Hour. output for the generator for a full tank of gas. OR, even better, would be to know the average Watt Hour per gallon of gas.

#1.A Does the answer above vary depending on the wattage/amperage draw that you are running at. If so, is there some kind of output curve that you can forward me.

#2. Will the generator run at a steady state of 4000 Watts at 240V?

#3. The specs say 8 hour of run time on 50% load. Does this mean 8 hours of run time at 2000 watts OR 8 hours of run time with 50% of a gas tank?

A: The manufacturer does not provide a total Watt Hour since it is dependent on the load on the generator and the manufacturer does not provide a wattage curve chart.

The generator will run at 4000 Watts steady at 240V but if your need is 4000 Watts constant it is recommended that you jump up in size as a higher rated generator will operate comfortably at approximately 80% of its full capacity and will provide a margin of flexibility if the load increases in the future.

The run time provided by the manufacturers are listed as hours at 1/2 load, meaning the generator operating at 1/2 load (2000 Watts in this case) would run for 8 hours.
